English from BBC7

English is very hard to learn. Even though I pray to god, I will study at my best. The more I study, the more the vocabulary I need to know. Every time I memory a word today, I tend to forget it tomorrow. I find I have to tackle it with different ways. Now, I try to use my ear to learn some more. I listen to BBC7 drama everyday. I try to get my friends to listen along with me. But, I haven't gotten one who can comprehand the drama well so far. I have to do it myself. To comprehand the drama, I need to learn more British culture and its society. Hopefully, I can make some progress.

Curry Chicken

The sun was high, and I felt uncomfortable in this hot summer afternoon. I didn't know what to have for my stomach. Finally, I stepped in a Curryhouse and ordered a gravy currychick over rice. The small restaurant was crowded and I waited and waited. I felt little cold in this small area for a while with AC on. The food was mediocre. They served with no chicken bones currychick. I didn't recall if I had this type "no chicken bone" curry chicken before. At last I got home. Now, I have finished all my housework and get ready to study more for my coming big exam.

Philosophy of Education

I took one semester course of philosophy of education. I didn't like it, either the professor who had published about twenty books. No exemption to us, we had to buy his book as textbook. The context of our textbook was mediocre, though he encourage us to think from our living environment. In the middle of semester, he placed his remark about the morning class that many classmates would be punished for eating breakfast during his lecturing. Now, let face the main topic, what is philosophy? My understanding is that it is all about thinking. At the end of the course, I learned I had to compiled the four most important and greatest philosophers in the history. Who are 孔子，蘇格拉底，耶穌，和釋迦佛尼。Well, Did I learn too little in a semester? I wonder.

Return to Taipei

I am coming, Taipei. I left you several years ago. I don't miss you at all. I don't want to remind of my memories. The reason I am coming back to you is simple. I have to take the exam for teacher position. This is out of everybody's prediction that few vacancies are available outsides of Taipei city now. I don't plan to visit anyone before the test. The bygone is bygone. I am looking for a bright and promising future.

Janis Joplin

Her family name is so familiar, as we had learned before from introduction of education. But, I knew the singer through her song, "Mercedis Benz". Her voice is so energetic which I like most. She had another great song, "Me and Bobby McGee", that became no. 1 in USA after her sudden death at age of 27. Like many singers who were addicted to drug, she however didn't get away of her fortune. I had played her songs again and again this week. I recently listened to abundance of music and thought that the music had help me a lot in emotion and learning English, too.

Sports Fan

I am great sports fan. I love all kind of sports myself. I used to sit in front of TV or chased after game or read sports news every day. Now, I find I lack of time to enjoy watching playing. So, I have to reduce my hobbies. As a result, I remain reading sports news every day. There are seldom NBA players I couldn't recognize. It is because I like to read gossips around the players. I think I will continue my interest. Few of my internet pals wanted my to teach them to read NBA. Honestly, I don't know how to tackle this problem. It is hard for me to instruct beginner, indeeds. Now, my favorite NBA team is playing online, see you.

sunlight

The sunlight is one of the most important things in the world. Without it, one can't see through eyes. Besides, all the living things need sunlight to get energy to grow and proceed on earth. Nonetheless, if we have too much sunlight, our skin will be burned. The UV within the sunlight has proven to be the main cause of skin cancer. The majority of people still can't recognize the rating of UV index used by health organization. It is basic knowledge that vitamin D can only produce under sunlight. Therefore, we must expose under the sunlight, but can't get too much of it. Today, the sun is high and overwhelming, tread carefully, folks!

Mirror, Mirror

Long ago, in a faraway kingdom, there lived a king and a queen. They were eager to have a child, so the queen prayed to the god, "Oh, Lord, I want to have a child." The next winter, a baby girl was born with snow white skin, so everybody called her, "Snow White." Unfortunately, the queen was sick and died after. The king married a new queen, the stepmother, to take care of Snow White. Stepmother had a magic mirror that can talk. Once a while, stepmother would ask, "Mirror, mirror, who is the most beautiful in the world." "You are, you are the most beautiful in the world," the mirror answered. However, Snow White has grown up and became prettier, sweet, and friendly.Every one liked her very much. One day, stepmother asked the mirror again, "mirror, mirror, who is the most beautiful in the world." To her surprise, the mirror answered, "Snow White, snow white, is the most beautiful in the world." Stepmother was very angry and asked a hunter to kill her. "I want her hear." The hunter took Snow White to the forest, but couldn't kill Snow White because she was so sweet and friend. The hunter brought back a deer heart instead. Snow White was in the forest and she found a house. She was hungry and ate all the food on the table, then fell asleep. "Who is the pretty girl?" snow white woke up, and saw seven dwarfs. Snow white told them stories about stepmother and hunter. "You can stay here safely." When seven dwarfs went out to work, Snow White stayed and cleaned the house. Another day, stepmother asked mirror, "mirror, mirror, who is the most beautiful in the world." "Snow white, snow white is the most beautiful in the world." "I have to kill her by myself." Stepmother brought a poisoned apple and disguised as a ugly old woman. "This is a sweet and juiced apple." Snow white took a bite and fainted. The seven dwarfs came home and thought Snow white was dead. They put her in a glass coffin. One day, a prince passed by and kissed Snow White. Snow White was alive. They got married and lived in a kingdom. Stepmother asked the mirror again, "mirror, mirror, who is the most beautiful in the world." The mirror said, " a new princess in a kingdom is the most beautiful in the world."

Dream

Last night, I played the CD to practice my listening ability. I didn't remember when I fell to sleep. I don't like to read lately, but listening on the bed has become one of my favorite interest. There were conversation in the CD, and my dream had just begun. It seemed I spoke to them in English and made the conversation more intrigued and puzzled. It seemed the conversation made on sense, then I waked up all of a sudden. I turned of the CD and continued my sleep. As I am writing now, I can't recall the details of my dream. Somehow, I still remember my dream had mixed with the conversation strangely. That was my first experience, though.

Volcano

Volcano is a mountain and existed in some place on land or under the sea, which tends to erupt with dangerous liquid lava and hazard gas that could burn down surroundings and cause serial tremers. However, it may be a splendid phenomenon and deserved to feel the spectacle of our nature. That is enormous, but I foresee human being also possesses an artificial volcano within one's body. This is similiar to attitude that one would lose control of oneself and erupt all of a sudden. Especially, when the summer is just around the corner, someone may spread harsh and notorious words towards people nearby. As I am careful of my neighbors, I also have to examine myself whether or not my volcano is about to erupt. How to control our own volcano? I don't have any idea. It may be natural and it deserves to wait and see.
