Ma attended a pre-Lunar New Year lunch party held by an alliance of social welfare groups in Taipei City for the homeless, in the company of Interior Minister Liao Liou-yi and Taipei City councilors Cheng-ter Wang and Li Ken Kuei-fong of the ruling Kuomintang (KMT).
