Long ago, in a far place, there were two young men, one of them always spoke the truth, but the other the lies. They were traveling together, and by chance came to the land of monkeys. Those monkeys caught the two men with forces and took them to see their king. The monkey king asked these two men, “you two strangers, I want to ask you a question. If you answer correctly, I will release you. First, what sort of do I seem to you?” The man who likes to tell lies said, “you seem to me, a most mighty king.” “And, what is your estimate of others around me?” the king of the monkeys asked. “They are good monkeys just like you!” The monkey king and monkeys were very happy about the lying traveler’s saying. The monkey king then asked the second man, “ what sort of do I seem to you and these my friends around me?” The traveler who always told the truth replied, “a common good monkey, and all other companions are good monkeys too.” The king of the monkeys was very angry and gave him over to the teeth and claws of the monkeys. The man died instantly.
The story tells us, saying the truth is good, but sometimes telling lies is OK! Because the truth maybe will hurt himself and others’ feeling!
